Zoya Dluzhevskaya, 61, of Highland Heights, Ohio, passed away on 28th March, 2015.
Zoya was born August 11, 1953, in Odessa, Ukraine, the daughter of late Emma Onitskanskaya and Leonid Pyatkovski. She received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Moscow Technological Institute of Light Industry. She worked as a chemical engineer in Russia early in her career. Zoya transitioned to economic analysis in Ukraine, and when she came to the United States, in 1994, pursued a career in accounting. Zoya Dluzhevskaya, 61, of Highland Heights, Ohio, passed away on 28th March, 2015.
Zoya was born August 11, 1953, in Odessa, Ukraine, the daughter of late Emma Onitskanskaya and Leonid Pyatkovski. She received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Moscow Technological Institute of Light Industry. She worked as a chemical engineer in Russia early in her career. Zoya transitioned to economic analysis in Ukraine, and when she came to the United States, in 1994, pursued a career in accounting. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from David N. Myers College and her Master of Science in Taxation degree from William Howard Taft University. She enjoyed a long and rewarding career in tax accounting with Cole National Corporation, National City Corporation / PNC, and, finally, with The Lincoln Electric Company. She was a knowledgeable, dedicated, and responsible professional and has been a mentor to many during her career.
Zoya enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and around the world. She was an avid reader, movie fan, and arts aficionado. She had a beautiful voice, enjoyed singing, and used to sing to her granddaughters and play the piano for them. She loved to spend time with her family and cherished moments when the family would get together.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Boris Dluzhevskiy; son and daughter-in-law, Sergey and Tamara Dluzhevskiy; granddaughters, Alexandra and Daniela Dluzhevskiy; sister and brother-in-law, Alla Pyatkovski and Vladimir Goldenberg; nephew, Kosta Pyatkovski.
The family will receive friends at The DiCicco and Sons Funeral Home, 5975 Mayfield Rd. (at Lander Rd.), Mayfield Hts., OH 44124 on Monday, March 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the above funeral home on Tuesday, March 31, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Knollwood Cemetery 1678 SOM Center Road, Mayfield Hts., OH 44124.
